Quake Live

Well, it finnally took off!
beta.quakelive.com

Try it, this is the birth of something new. Its not everydays that you see, and play, in browser a full fledged, fast paced action First Person Shooter. The download of the msi installer is ridiculous small(3-7 Megs depending on your favourite web browser), the application it self is somewhat bigger: my install takes up 280 Megs after installed, but thats triffles in this age of terabyte storage capacity.

So far I've found out that i keep sucking at this game, after all this years - not that I excell at others, but i consider myself a standard FPS player. Perhaps on a better screen resolution I may improve my accuracy, and win ration... perhaps not and I am just a noob at this games. Dunno. When my 22'' inches comes back from repair i might come to a conclusion on this issue. Nevertheless how bad you are it is STILL gratifying to perform a Gauntlet Humilliation on the board leader. You can see more of me and my performances on this game:

Funny fact: no! this post wasn't written on a wii, but I've run this game without performance issues on a laptop equipped with:

Intel Pentium M 1.3GHz,
15'0'' XGA (1024x768 , in browser resolution: 640x480, just like the 90's eh?)
512 DDR SDRAM

Pretty cool! Wasn't expecting such a good performance, or even a boot, on this rig.
