Wii online
And there she goes, Capt'n
Hooked up Wii back online, which is dinda of a hassle when ZON fails to deliver a reliable customer service , mainly because, in my humble opinion, they are more interested on selling their wireless kits than setting up reliable ZonModem to Routers configurations and help pages, but I digress...
After some time I've nailed, hooked up the PC, the Wii, found out that NDS only supports WEP instead of WAP/WAP2 security measures - major letdown, will have to re-configure all of the wireless just to hook up with the DS online :/
Now that the Wii is online I've tried Pro Evolution 08 and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 online.
Dragon Ball turned out to be a major let down. While the single player is a super fluid game, filled with brillant colours and nice glowing effects on the chars, the online is a stuttering, eye tearing, choppy and, as you can imagine by now, horrible experience. One thing is lag provoking stress pauses on the screen, while you find yourself wondering "What the hell is going on?!?", other is watching youtube video buffering on your screen, while one tries to emulate a slow "Kamehameha", shouting and all that, to no success. Luckily the power off button still works on the Wii. "Praise the Lord!"
Pro Evolution Soccer 08. To sum it up quickly: Great experience. Played a 10 minute match, it wasn't difficult to set up a game, it was lag free, except on a minor 1 second hiccup, the game is brilliant, the control scheme is a must play for every "Wii is for kids" that exists outhere, I ...lost 0-5, not so good that part, i really can't score on Pro Evo, be it on PC or now on Wii.. Buy this game, play it online!
I'm off to play a little bit more online,
Catch you online! in Wii, however odd that may sound!
